PETALING JAYA:
Men’s doubles pair Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani crashed out of the Hong Kong Open after a third-round defeat today, extending a poor season for the world No 3 duo.
Despite a convincing win in the first game, they made numerous unforced errors in the remaining two games to lose 21-14, 16-21, 13-21 in 45 minutes to Taiwanese twins Lee Fang Chih-Lee Fang Jen.
The Malaysians have endured multiple early exits this year, including two first-round defeats.
Their only title in 2025 came at the India Open in January. They also reached the Japan Open final in July, but lost.
Since 2022, they have won eight BWF World Tour titles.
