PLUS Anticipates 2.2 Mln Vehicles Per Day During Malaysia Day, School Holidays

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 11 (Bernama) — PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) is anticipating a surge in traffic flow, with volumes expected to reach up to 2.2 million vehicles per day across its highway network on the peak travel days of Sept 12, 13, 19 and 20, due to the school holidays and Malaysia Day.

In a statement today, PLUS has advised users of the PLUS Expressway and the East Coast Expressway 2 (LPT2) to plan their journeys by consulting the digital travel schedule, MyPLUS-TTA, on the PLUS app.

“With recent enhancements, the MyPLUS-TTA can now be accessed on selected peak days. It is designed to help highway users plan their journeys on the PLUS and LPT2 expressways more efficiently during these peak periods outside of the festive season.

“This will also help ensure smoother traffic flow and provide a more comfortable travel experience,” the statement read.

PLUS further advised motorists to download or update the PLUS app to facilitate easier journey planning and to ensure sufficient Touch ‘n Go card or eWallet balances before beginning their journey.

“We wish everyone a happy 62nd Malaysia Day and a safe holiday to all Malaysians,” it added.
