KUALA LUMPUR: Jacquita Gonzales, wife of MH370 in-flight supervisor Patrick Gomes, passed away earlier today.

Her death was announced in the MH370 Families Facebook group.

She is believed to have suffered a heart attack and fell while at work.

“It is with deep sadness that we share this news. Jacquita was a vibrant and dynamic member of Voice370, always at the forefront of our efforts and a central figure representing the Crew Family Members.”

It said that Gonzales touched so many lives with her love, warmth, kindness, and humility.

“She will be deeply missed by all of us who knew her. Let us keep her and her family in our prayers during this difficult time.”

The disappearance of MH370 with its 239 passengers and crew remains one of the world’s most enigmatic air disasters.

The aircraft, which departed Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 12.41am on March 8, 2014, was scheduled to land in Beijing, at 6.40am the same day.

A search was launched in the South Sea, where the aircraft disappeared from radars, but it was later found that it had made a complete turnabout and had likely ditched in the southern Indian Ocean.
