SEBERANG PRAI: The Fire and Rescue Department today assisted in lifting the body of a 46-year-old obese man, who died inside a two-storey shop lot in Taman Supreme here.
State Fire and Rescue Department operations division assistant director John Sagun Francis said they received a call from police about 6.20pm, requesting assistance in removing the body of the deceased, who weighed about 100kg.
“A team of 10 firefighters was immediately deployed to the scene and began the process of bringing the body down from the second floor of the building using the staircase.
“The operation concluded about 7.16pm,” he said in a statement.
John said the body was then handed over to the police for further action.
