JOHOR BAHRU, Sept 7 (Bernama) — Mersing Polytechnic has received a high-impact equipment grant worth RM239,946 for teaching and learning in the fields of electrical and electronics (E&E) and cybersecurity.
Johor Education and Information Committee Chairman Aznan Tamin said the grant handover includes SIEMENS PLC Trainer equipment for the E&E sector and high-end computer and Cyber Range Cloud equipment, which are part of the continuous efforts of the Johor Talent Development Council (JTDC) to empower the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme and produce skilled labour.
“This initiative is an important step in strengthening technical skills and producing high-quality human capital that can meet the demands of current industries, especially in high-impact sectors.
“With these facilities, students have the opportunity to get exposure to the latest technology that is relevant to industrial needs. Congratulations for being one of the selected TVET institutions to receive this grant,” he said through a Facebook post tonight.
The ceremony for the handover of the equipment aid grant to the Centre for Cybersecurity and E&E Education and Training took place at the Mersing Polytechnic today.
At the same time, Aznan also hoped that all the facilities provided can be fully utilised by students to produce more highly skilled and competitive Johor workforce at the national and international levels.
