Thousands brave rain to enjoy Karnival Jom Heboh concert in Sarawak

KUCHING: Thousands of visitors braved the rain and flocked to Dataran Perayaan in Petra Jaya last night for the Karnival Jom Heboh (KJH) Segulai Sejalai 2025 concert.

The nearly two-hour concert, presented by U Mobile, featured popular singers including Lan Solo, Marsha Milan, Ara Johari, Haiza, and Datuk Aishah.

Visitors were clearly entertained by the performers’ renditions of hit songs, with some lighting up their mobile phones in support while enjoying the show.

The event was attended by Sarawak Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah as well as Media Prima OMNIA chief operating officer Datuk Mohd Efendi Omar.

In a brief speech, Abdul Karim expressed the Sarawak government’s appreciation to Media Prima, especially TV3, for organising KJH Segulai Sejalai 2025.

“We are proud that Media Prima has returned to Kuching to present KJH Segulai Sejalai following last year’s success.

“Thanks to Media Prima, and to all the crew who travelled from Peninsular Malaysia to bring entertainment to the people of Sarawak here in Kuching,” he said.

The KJH Segulai Sejalai 2025 tonight promises energetic performances from a star-studded line-up.

Artists set to perform before the carnival concludes tonight include Floor 88, Wany Hasrita, Hael Husaini, and two major Sarawak stars, Dayang Nurfaizah and Amir Jahari.
