LAHAD DATU: PKR is reviewing its seat allocation strategy for the Sabah polls after Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced that the coalition will not work with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS).
PKR information chief Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said discussions are ongoing as Ahmad Zahid had also stated that Barisan would maintain its cooperation with Pakatan Harapan, which affects several constituencies.
“We are still in discussions because there are certain areas where there are issues with seats…. There are several matters that we need to discuss,” he said at a press conference during his working visit here on Saturday (Sept 6).
Fahmi said PKR would only announce its candidates closer to nomination day.
“Pakatan does not officially announce its candidates early – typically about two weeks before nomination day,” he said.
Earlier, Fahmi inspected and tested the network coverage at Kampung Sapagaya here to ensure telecommunications providers are ready for the upcoming Northeast Monsoon season.
Also present was Communications Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Fauzi Isa.
