SHAH ALAM: Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin today said there is no room for poison-pen letters or backstabbing within the party, which he described as one big family.

In his speech, Hamzah warned against bringing negative cultures into the party.

“Do not bring such cultures into this party, cultures that can cause damage.

“There is no place for poison letters, no place for backstabbing. This is one big family.

“This is a party that upholds the voice of the people, that will fight for the future in the name of religion, race, and country.

“Whatever challenges lie ahead, we face them together. United we stand, divided we fall,” he said while launching Bersatu wings today.

Present were Bersatu vice-presidents Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu, Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin, and Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee.

Also present were the party’s secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, Youth chief Muhammad Hilman Idham, Srikandi chief Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin, and Bersatu Alliance wing chief Dr Chong Fat Full.

Hamzah said the upcoming general election is not just about Bersatu or Perikatan Nasional.

“Upon our shoulders lies a greater mission to determine the survival and destiny of the people and the nation as a whole.

“The 16th General Election is not just another general election. It is a monumental crossroads that will determine the fate of this nation.”

Meanwhile, Hamzah also called on the Alliance wing to attract more support from all communities, especially non-Malays.

“Tell them, tell every one of them, this is the only party that is the most inclusive in the history of our nation’s politics,” he said.
