PUTRAJAYA: The fourth day of the Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (Sara) aid programme saw transactions worth RM117.1 million, involving 1.8 million recipients, the Finance Ministry said today.
This marked an increase compared with RM76.8 million spent by 1.1 million recipients on Sept 2.
The success rate of transactions also rose to 99.7 per cent, up from 95 per cent.
The ministry said system upgrades and capacity expansion over the past three days had contributed to the smoother operations today.
Since the programme began on Aug 31, more than 4.8 million people have purchased essential goods using Sara credits nationwide, with total spending reaching RM312.6 million.
