KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Jasmine Suraya Chin, 36, has decided to base herself in Los Angeles after graduating from the Lee Strasberg Film and Theatre Institute.
Jasmine, who is from Kuching, Sarawak, told Harian Metro that she is now receiving many acting offers in the US.
“I decided to settle in the US because there’s an agency and management there that handles artistic careers,” she said.
“I’ll be involved in an action film project in October, but I can’t share much about it yet.”
The actress has long wanted to expand her career abroad.
“I’m used to travelling to many countries, so it’s not difficult,” she said.
“What’s important is not the results. I prefer to look at it in terms of experience and building a network, as my goal is to bring about US and Malaysian film collaborations.”
However, she noted that she will return to Malaysia from time to time if interesting acting opportunities arise.
