Malaysia's Zchwantech designates as Amazon Web select tier to power digital transformation

KUALA LUMPUR: Technology solutions provider Zchwantech Sdn Bhd has been recognised as Amazon Web Services (AWS) select tier partner within the AWS Partner Network.

The status is a recognition reserved for firms with proven technical capabilities and strong customer success across AWS platforms.

Zchwantech said the milestone affirms its position as a trusted digital transformation enabler across Southeast Asia.

To qualify for the Select Tier designation, a company has to meet stringent AWS benchmarks.

This includes technical certifications, solution delivery track records and accredited training for both technical and business staff.

“AWS Select Tier Partner status validates our strong technical foundation and reinforces our mission to be a trusted digital transformation solutions provider,” Zchwantech chairman Datuk Seow Gim Shen said.

“We’re not just adopting cloud, we’re empowering businesses and governments to reimagine operations with security, agility, and intelligence.

“This partnership positions us to lead national-level digital initiatives, including digital identity infrastructure,” he added.

Zchwantech has been leveraging AWS technologies since 2017.

It currently manages over 300 virtual servers (Amazon EC2), a variety of serverless services, and handles more than 400,000 customer requests per second.

With a 300-strong workforce and 46 AWS certifications, the company delivers large-scale, secure, AI-driven platforms across industries.

“The new status grants access to advanced AWS training, co-marketing support and funding programmes, enhancing Zchwantech’s delivery capabilities across sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, financial services, retail and the public sector.

“Zchwantech’s deep expertise in cloud migration, DevOps automation, application modernization, and AI-powered platforms is well-aligned with regional digitalisation trends,” it said.

According to Mordor Intelligence, Southeast Asia’s cloud market is projected to nearly double from US$21.8 billion in 2025 to US$43.1 billion by 2030.

Zchwantech’s strategic alignment with AWS is also expected to contribute to key national goals under Malaysia’s 13th Malaysia Plan, which prioritises digitalisation, inclusive growth and technological advancement.
