Police are investigating a viral TikTok video showing a micromobility vehicle being used on Jalan Uda Utama in Bandar Uda Utama, Johor.
Johor Bahru Utara police chief Balveer Singh said officers detected the video on TikTok, which showed the vehicle being used on a public road.
“The incident is believed to have been recorded on Aug 15 at about 3pm before being uploaded to social media.
“A man, believed to be in his 30s, together with a woman and a child, were seen riding the vehicle at the location,” he said in a statement.
Balveer said the case is being investigated under Rule 3(1) of the Road Traffic (Prohibition of Use of Certain Microbility Vehicles) Rules 2021.
He also reminded the public to comply with traffic laws and regulations for the safety of all road users.
