KUALA LUMPUR: Four men in their 40s were killed when their four-wheel drive vehicle crashed into a tree on the South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE) near Saujana Putra early yesterday.
The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre said the accident involved a Ford Ranger which hit a tree at KM27.7 of the expressway towards Telok Panglima Garang.
Three were trapped in the vehicle, while another was flung out on impact.
The trapped victims were extricated by firefighters. They were all later confirmed dead at the scene by Health Ministry personnel.
Five firefighters and a fire engine were involved in the operation.
