#SHOWBIZ: K-Pop star D.O. rocks full house Axiata Arena in 'Do It! Tour'


KUALA LUMPUR: Popular South Korean singer D.O. or Doh Kyung-soo of Exo fame, rocked a full house Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil here for two hours beginning 6pm this evening.

The 32-year-old serenaded screaming Malaysian fans with 25 of his hit songs, including That’s Okay, Rose, I Do, Somebody, Popcorn, Mars, Snowfall At Night and Sing Along in his Do It! Concert Tour.

“I’m so happy to be here in Kuala Lumpur tonight. Ladies and gentlemen, you are very sporting and I hope to serenade you for many more years!” said D.O., who clearly enjoyed himself at the concert.

Malaysians readily sang along to the choruses of his catchy tunes, and some of them screamed “We love you D.O.!” from time to time.

D.O. began singing in primary school and was a participant in local singing competitions throughout his high school years.

He debuted as a soloist in 2021 with his first extended play, Empathy.

He has since released two more EPs, Expectation (2023) and Blossom (2024), as well as a studio album, Bliss (2025).

D.O. was formally introduced as the eighth member of Exo in 2012, with the release of the Korean version of the single What Is Love, a duet with Baekhyun.

As an actor, he has starred in various television dramas and movies such as It’s Okay, That’s Love (2014), My Annoying Brother (2016), Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds (2017), 100 Days My Prince (2018), Swing Kids (2018), and Bad Prosecutor (2022).

He was selected by the Korean Film Council as one of the 200 South Korean actors who best represent the present and future of ‘s movie scene.
