KUALA LUMPUR: Kelantan The Real Warriors (KTRW) finally broke their winless streak in the Super League, overcoming Penang 1-0 at City Stadium on Saturday.
Ifedayo Omosuyi scored the decisive goal in the 28th minute, silencing the home crowd and handing KTRW their first victory of the season.
Penang’s woes deepened in the 37th minute when Khairul Akmal Rokisham’s flailing elbow left Sean Selvaraj on the ground.
Referee Shukor Zulkiflee didn’t hesitate to show a straight red card, reducing the Panthers to ten men.
The numerical disadvantage made it impossible for Penang to mount a comeback, and KTRW held firm to claim a morale-boosting win.
The victory lifts Kelantan to fifth in the table with five points from four matches, while Penang continue to slide, languishing in 11th with just a point.
