MOSCOW, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) — Russia’s Ministry of Agriculture reported on Friday that the country produced nearly 4 million tonnes of poultry for slaughter in the January-July period of 2025, representing a 3.3 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
According to the ministry, the Central Federal District leads in poultry meat production, with an output of 1.5 million tonnes, accounting for approximately 40 percent of the national total. The highest growth rates were recorded in Siberia and the Far East, logging 10 percent and 11 percent, respectively.
The ministry also said that egg production rose 6.3 percent to 23.2 billion units in the same period.
