PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on all religious leaders to be an assertive voice for justice, humanity, and peace in a world plagued by declining trust and hypocrisy.
Speaking at the Second International Summit of Religious Leaders, Anwar said such gatherings were vital in uniting faith leaders to defend values that transcend national and political boundaries.
“We are living in an era of declining trust, a deficit not only among political leaders but also in upholding the values of justice, humanity, and truth. This is why religious leaders have no choice but to take up the banner of peace and morality,” he said in his speech.
