HONG KONG: Actor Roger Kwok recently made headlines after he was spotted handing out flyers on the streets to promote his company.
In recent years, the 60-year-old actor has focused on a business venture with his sister, Gammy, successfully leading it to a public listing.
Despite being a three-time winner of Best Actor at the TVB Anniversary Awards, Kwok revealed in a video that most people on the street didn’t recognise him, with some even actively avoiding him.
While a few people did acknowledge him, their reactions were largely muted.
Kwok took the experience in his stride, assuring everyone that he wasn’t bothered by the lukewarm response.
“Don’t care too much about how others see you because, honestly, they’re not paying attention. Just look at me handing out flyers,” he said.
The actor also shared some words of wisdom: “The most important thing is to live for yourself and be happy. As the saying goes, happiness is key, and the best way to stay healthy is to nourish the heart.”
Kwok is well-known for his roles in dramas such as ‘Square Pegs’ (2003), ‘Life Made Simple’ (2005), and ‘Black Heart White Soul’ (2014), which earned him the Best Actor title at the TVB Anniversary Awards.
He also received the Favourite TVB Actor award at the TVB Star Awards Malaysia.
