TRUE

The Royal Press Office of Johor has confirmed the existence of a fake TikTok account using AI technology to mimic the voice of Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, the Queen of Malaysia.

The video falsely claims that Her Majesty is offering financial assistance to the public, a tactic commonly used by scammers to deceive viewers.

“Impersonation and identity misuse are offences under the law,” warned the Royal Press Office.

They urged the public to remain vigilant and not to be easily influenced by such fraudulent accounts, which are often used for scams on social media platforms.

The video, identified as AI-generated, includes a phone number in the comments section, encouraging viewers to contact it.

Those who do are asked to pay a RM200 registration fee, further highlighting the scam’s fraudulent intent.

Additionally, checks have revealed other AI-generated videos involving the image of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, also uploaded by the scammer account.

This underscores the broader misuse of AI technology in creating misleading content.
