KUALA LUMPUR: A clinic can now be digitalised within three days using the Cloud-Based Clinic Management System (CCMS), says Deputy Health Minister Datuk Lukanisman Awang Sani.

“Based on our data, we found that we are able to digitalise a clinic within three days compared to three to six months previously,” he told the Dewan Rakyat, explaining why the ministry chose the system.

He said CCMS adoption has increased by 150%, with clinic wait times reduced to 30 minutes.

He also said RM2bil has been allocated for the ministry’s digitalisation efforts, which are to be completed by 2029.

Lukanisman said 200 health clinics will be equipped with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) this year, with 16 hospitals to follow next year.

On EMR progress, he said 22 out of 150 hospitals, 275 out of 1,118 health clinics, and 78 out of 682 dental clinics have adopted the system so far.

He was responding to Rodiyah Sapiee (GPS-Batang Sadong), who asked about the implementation status of the two systems in government health facilities and their effectiveness in improving health service efficiency.
