BRASILIA (Reuters) -Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said on Tuesday that Justice Minister Ricardo Lewandowski had his United States visa revoked, voicing solidarity in face of what he called an “irresponsible decision”.
“These attitudes are unacceptable – not only against Minister Lewandowski, but also against Supreme Court justices or any Brazilian official,” Lula said during a cabinet meeting, referring to other previously announced U.S. visa restrictions.
The U.S. State Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
