For millions worldwide, Queen’s music isn’t just rock – it’s anthemic, timeless, and deeply personal.
From stadium-shaking chants of “We Will Rock You” to the soul-stirring triumph of “We Are The Champions”, the band’s songs have soundtracked everything from football finals to karaoke nights and late-night car rides.
Now, Malaysian fans will get the chance to relive that magic. On Sept 26, the legendary sounds of Queen will come alive at Subang Golf Club in an electrifying two-hour tribute concert led by Fernando Castro, one of the world’s finest Freddie Mercury tribute artists.
Hailing from Miami, Castro’s love affair with Queen began when his mother introduced him to their music at age 11. Fascinated by the unmatched voice and charisma of Mr Fahrenheit, Castro has dedicated his career to honouring one of rock’s greatest frontmen.
Backed by a full live band, Castro promises a nostalgic show brimming with energy and authenticity.
Fans can expect a setlist stacked with hits from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s – think “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Another One Bites the Dust”, and “Radio Ga Ga” – all performed with the flair and showmanship that made Mercury unforgettable.
“I promise a great show where everyone will have a rockin’ good time,” Castro said ahead of his first-ever performance in Malaysia.
The event, organised by MyTicketAsia and supported by Persatuan Karyawan Malaysia, isn’t just about nostalgia. A portion of proceeds will go towards Karyawan’s Artistes’ Welfare Fund, providing much-needed support to local performers.

For Karyawan president Freddie Fernandez, the night promises to be especially meaningful: his band, The Revolvers, made a name for themselves in the ’80s with show-stopping renditions of “Bohemian Rhapsody” at the Glass Bubble in Jayapuri Hotel.
“As a Queen fan myself, I am looking forward to enjoying all my favourite songs together with the other fans attending,” he said.
So, for one night only, sing, sway, and stomp along to the music of legends.
