The Federal Territories MIC division’s annual general meeting yesterday approved a motion to urge the party’s central leadership to withdraw from BN, after Kedah and Penang MIC approved similar motions earlier this month.
Federal Territories MIC chairperson S Rajah said the party leadership must now decide whether to leave the coalition, arguing that BN chairperson Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has consistently failed to defend the coalition’s component parties from being sidelined.
