Media Prima recognised for timely Perkeso contributions, employee welfare commitment

KUALA LUMPUR: Media Prima Television Networks and Primeworks Studios was recognised as one of the 10 Majikan Pesona LINDUNG recipients at the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO) schemes rebranding launch today.

“Media Prima Bhd is committed to safeguarding employee welfare by ensuring timely contributions to the Social Security Organisation (Perkeso),” said Media Prima Television Networks and Primeworks Studios chief executive officer Nini Yusof when met after the award ceremony.

She said the company felt honoured by the recognition and would continue to support worker-welfare initiatives.

“At Media Prima, we have always fulfilled our responsibility to contribute for all our staff because we are aware of the many benefits it brings.

“We make sure contributions are made on time and, as much as possible, meet the requirements set by Perkeso,” she added.

Nini said she was also encouraged by the government’s plans to simplify claims under the revamped LINDUNG schemes.

“I was very pleased to hear Human Resources Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong explain that the claims process will be made easier.

“I think these four LINDUNG schemes are excellent, not only for companies like Media Prima that contribute for their workers, but also for gig workers and individuals who want to contribute on their own,” she said, referring to Sim’s opening speech at the LINDUNG rebranding event today.

Media Prima was recognised alongside other notable employers and entrepreneurs, including Simply SS (owned by Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tajudin and her husband, Datuk Seri Khalid Jiwa), Christy Ng Fashion (Christy Ng Mei Mei), and Skop Productions (Datuk Dr Yusof Haslam), as well as Sinar Karangkraf, Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri, Noor Neelofa, and Aeril Zafrel-Wawa Zainal.
