Remy surprised video of him caring for son went viral

Actor Datuk Remy Ishak is surprised that a video of him taking care of his son, Tuah Alam, has gone viral.

The actor, whose real name is Mohammad Zalimei Ishak, 43, said he didn’t expect that a video about his daily routine would get so much attention.

“Isn’t this what a father does?

“I don’t like reading comments, but when I saw what people were saying about the video, I asked my wife why so many people watched things like this.”

He found the public reaction strange, as he believed he was simply carrying out his duties as a husband and father.

“Why did it go viral? Has the world changed so much that men aren’t expected to do these things?”

The video showed the ‘Pulang’ actor bathing his son, doing household chores and dropping Tuah Alam off at a daycare centre before he went to the gym.

Netizens praised Remy for his hands-on approach and for making his wife’s life easier.

Remy said his actions were sincere and not done out of obligation.

“If we look at it from a positive angle, it’s a good thing to share videos like this.

“I want to encourage positive actions and spread good vibes. That’s a responsibility we have as public figures.”

He addressed critics who believe the video was an attempt to create viral content.

“That’s not me. If you follow me, you’ll know I don’t do things like that.”

Remy said his wife is the primary caretaker of Tuah and he only helps when his work schedule permits.

Remy and his wife, Datin Ezza Yusof, married on Aug 21, 2021. Tuah Alam is 2 years old.
