HONG KONG: Popular Hong Kong actor Bosco Wong has not publicly dated anyone since ending his eight-year relationship with actress Myolie Wu in 2012.
While Wu, 45, married businessman Philip Lee in 2015 and is a proud mother of three, Wong – more than a decade later – has yet to find Miss Right.
In a recent interview, the 44-year-old actor revealed that his continued single status is largely due to his mother, who has a knack for driving potential suitors away.
“My mum loves chasing my girlfriends away. She does that even when we’re all having a meal together. Nobody can tolerate that as time passes,” he said in an interview with 8days recently.
The Forensic Heroes V (2022) star even had to apologise to his partners for his mother’s antics on multiple occasions. Eventually, he gave up on introducing them altogether.
“It’s better now. No marriage. It drives my mother insane!” he joked.
“I don’t have to worry about leaving an inheritance and can spend whatever I earn however I want,” he added with a laugh.
