AMPANG: A disabled man has been missing for four days after he was dropped off at Kampung Warisan in Taman Melawati last Friday (Aug 1) by his father.
Ampang Jaya OCPD ACP Mohd Azam Ismail, in a statement on Monday, said the victim’s father had sent his son to the area at 2.30pm to spend the day.
“However, by about 9.30pm the same day, he realised that the victim, Norhafsham Nazri, 43, had not returned home.
“The father had gone to Kampung Warisan to search for him to no avail. He then lodged a missing person report the next day,” ACP Mohd Azam said.
The police had sought the assistance of the Fire and Rescue Department along with residents of the area to search for the victim, he said.
“The victim’s last worn clothing was a black and red round neck t-shirt, dark jeans, sports shoes and a black sling bag.
“We discovered the victim’s bag on Saturday (Aug 2) at an uphill patch towards Bukit Tabur, Taman Melawati.
“The search and Rescue area is focused around the paths towards Bukit Tabur and Sungai Klang.
ACP Mohd Azam urged those with information to contact the Taman Melawati police station.
“Those who wish to join in the search can report to the police operation centre at the search area,” he said.
