KLUANG: A 32-year-old factory operator died on the spot after his car skidded and crashed into a tree along Km76 of Jalan Johor Baru–Ayer Hitam this morning.
The victim did not have a valid driving licence, and the car’s road tax had expired earlier this year.
“The victim, from Felda Pemanis Satu, Segamat, was believed to have lost control of his car while driving from Simpang Renggam towards Ayer Hitam at 8.20am,” said district deputy police chief, Superintendent Nik Mohd Azmin Husin.
He sustained severe head and body injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Initial findings indicate the car veered off the road and crashed into a tree on the left shoulder. The cause is believed to be loss of control,” Husin said in a statement today.
