ISKANDAR PUTERI: Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a six-year-old boy who has been reported missing in Taman Bukit Indah near here.
Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm M. Kumarasan said the police received a report on the child’s disappearance at about 2.15am on Thursday (July 24).
“The report was lodged by the boy’s father, a 36-year-old local man, who claimed that his son went missing near a kopitiam at Taman Bukit Indah.
“The missing child has been identified as M. Tishant, a Malaysian male aged six. He was last seen at the Tiong Nam kopitiam in Taman Bukit Indah,” he said in a statement here on Saturday (July 26).
ACP Kumarasan added that Tishant is described as having a dark complexion, with a sharp nose, standing about 110cm tall and weighing around 19kg.
He urged members of the public with any information on the child’s whereabouts to contact the investigating officer, Insp E. Komaty at 010-381 2804.
ACP Kumarasan said those with information may also reach out to the Iskandar Puteri district police control centre at 07-511 3622 or its hotline number at 07-511 4486.
“Our top priority is to locate the child and ensure his safety. We appreciate any assistance from the public to help reunite him with his family,” he added.
