SHAH ALAM: A three-year-old boy was found dead after a fire destroyed three houses on Jalan Nuri, Kampung Seri Cheeding, Kuala Langat.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said authorities received a call at 2.44am.
Seventeen personnel and fire engines from Teluk Panglima Garang, Banting, and KLIA stations were deployed to the scene.
“Early reports indicate the fire involved three houses, each about 90 percent destroyed. Initial information said a three-year-old boy was trapped inside,” he said in a statement according to Harian Metro.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control by 3.30am, and the boy was found in the master bedroom at 4.15am, burnt beyond recognition, Ahmad Mukhlis added.
