Insta360 Launches Link 2 Pro, Link 2c Pro Webcams

Insta360 has officially launched the Link 2 Pro and the Link 2c Pro, the latest additions to the company’s webcam lineup. In addition to improving on the previously released Link 2, these webcams offer scene presets, AI beautify, green screen support, background bokeh, and more.

Like most webcams, the Link 2 Pro and Link 2c Pro sit on top of your display. However, these computer peripherals feature an upgraded 1/1.3-inch camera sensor, with a dual-native ISO, and an f/1.9 aperture. According to Insta360, the larger sensor features “2.4µm equivalent pixels” and provides 2.23 times the photosensitive area compared to the base Link 2 camera. On the other hand, the dual-native ISO, with an ISO range of 100 to 3,200, can easily handle difficult lighting situations.

Both cameras are capable of capturing up to 4K at 30fps, 1080p at 60fps, and 720p at 60fps be it landscape or portrait orientation. They also offer an 84-degree field of view (FOV), which is slightly wider than the Link 2’s 79.5-degree FOV.

The cameras also have dual microphones with AI noise cancelling. The microphone has four different audio modes ranging from Standard, Wide, Focus, and Original.

If we haven’t mentioned it yet, the Link 2 Pro uses a gimbal to follow its subject as it moves around the room. Users also have the option to limit the camera’s tracking by setting defined zones and borders via the Insta360 Link Controller app. Additionally, users can pair the Link 2 Pro with Insta360’s Wave Speakerphone for conference calls. Lastly, the webcam will go into sleep mode after 10 seconds of idling or if the user pushes down on the camera module.

The Link 2c Pro is almost the same thing, minus the gimbal. Instead of AI-based tracking, it relies on Auto Framing, which uses in-sensor zoom to automatically adjust the frame and keep its subject in view, whether it’s a single person or a group. Oh, and it also attaches to monitors using a magnetic mount. Both cameras feature Elgato Stream Deck integration as well as hands-free gesture controls.

The Link 2 Pro and Link 2c Pro feature an AI assistant for meetings. This assistant is capable of transcribing meetings and auto-generating summaries for review and sharing. Users can either manually place markers at key moments during the call or let the camera highlight them automatically. On top of that, it also has a built-in AI assistant that allows the user to ask anything about the meeting. It can also draft emails, reports, and summaries based on the discussion.
