KLANG: A 43-year-old man was shot dead in Taman Wangsa here early today, with police launching a manhunt for two suspects believed to have fled the scene on a motorcycle.
Selangor Deputy Police Chief Mohd Zaini Abu Hassan said South Klang police received a report at about 12.30am regarding a shooting incident in the area.
“Police who arrived at the scene found the body of a local man, aged around 43,” he said in a statement today.
He said preliminary investigations revealed that two male suspects, believed to be riding a motorcycle, arrived at the location and fired two shots at the victim before fleeing.
“The victim died at the scene. His body was later sent to the forensic department of Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Klang for a post-mortem examination.
“South Klang Criminal Investigation Department has opened an investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder,” he said.
