KUALA LUMPUR: A clip of Oscar-winning actress Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh delivering her iconic line promoting the film Wicked: For Good during a speech alongside Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ibrahim has gone viral on social media.

During her speech at the “I Lite U” Festival last night in Bukit Bintang, Yeoh delivered her line — “Madam Morrible, flip it around, Wicked Witch!” — drawing an enthusiastic round of applause from and the crowd.

Yeoh’s tagline also drew much praise online. TikTok user @lliyrosebb commented: “Hahahahahhahahahahahahhahagahahahhahahahaha I love Michelle Yeoh.”

The event is seen as a prelude to Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (VM2026), ahead of a series of cultural and tourism initiatives planned for 2026, reinforcing Malaysia’s image as a global destination for heritage, art and innovation.

Many users were surprised by the event, with TikTok user @user162052213, also known as “Maya”, asking if the video was legitimate.

Meanwhile, social media users were also amused by ‘s reaction.

User @dysthangg said: “Help, he even looked so proud of it as well, LOL,” while @_rubyjane_19 added: “Why does he look so proud bye.”

Yeoh, who wore a yellow dress, also said during her speech that the illumination of Kuala Lumpur marked the beginning of a story of “breathtaking beauty, rich heritage, and relentless innovation” to be shared with the world in 2026.

The video, posted by TikTok user @nik82006, has garnered over 300,000 views and more than 50,000 likes.

The film Wicked: For Good was released on Nov 21, 2025, and has grossed over US$510 million (RM2.1 billion) worldwide.
