Honor even demonstrated how tough its hinge is by using the V5 to hang a full size sofa and a dumbbell.
The Magic V5’s hinge is also said to be capable of enduring up to 500,000 folding cycles, which is equivalent to 100 folds per day and up to 13 years of usage.

Now, let’s talk about its display. Like before, you get a cover screen on the outside and a main display when you open up the phone. The cover display is a 6.43″ LTPO OLED with a reolution of 2376×1060 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
The main display on the other hand is also an 120Hz LTPO OLED panel that measures 7.95″ with a resolution of 2352×2172 pixels. Both the cover and main displays have the same peak brightness of 5,000 nits.

Powering the Honor Magic V5 is Qualcomm’s flagship mobile chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite. In Malaysia, the device is paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
Imaging-wise, the Honor Magic V5 like the V3 continues to get a 50MP f/1.6 main camera with OIS. Supplying power to the Honor Magic V5 is a 5,820mAh silicon carbon battery, which is around 13% larger than the V3’s battery. However, charging speeds are retained at a respectable 66W using USB-C and 50W via a Qi wireless charger.
Connectivity wise, the Honor Magic V5 packs 5G, WiFi 7, as well as Bluetooth 6.0. The phone also runs on Honor’s MagicOS 9.0.1, based on Android 15.
