DC Handal has deployed a EV charging hub in the heart of Alor Setar which not only is the most powerful but also the largest at the moment. Located near the iconic Menara Alor Setar, there are a total of six DC charging bays which are conveniently located near a variety of F&B and retail shops.
This is an ideal charging stop for EV owners especially for those making the trip up north to Perlis and beyond.

For this location, DC Handal has deployed a 180kW DC charger with two CCS2 nozzles, and two additional 60kW DC Chargers with two CCS2 nozzles each.
In total, there are 6 DC charging bays and all of them are priced at RM1.30 per kWh, which is quite competitive compared to other DC chargers in town.

All DC Handal chargers can be activated without downloading any apps as they are equipped with open payment terminals. Users can activate and pay for charging via credit, debit or prepaid cards, or with their Touch ‘n Go eWallet.
Alternatively, users can also activate the charger via 3rd party apps including JomCharge and ChargeEV. Gentari Go is also supported but do take note that there’s a 6% roaming fee which is applicable.

With a total of 6 bays and output up to 180kW, this is currently the most ideal DC charging hub in the capital city of Kedah.
If you’re on a road trip with an EV, it is recommended to stop DC charging at 80% and continue with your journey. The last 20% to get a full charge with DC charging is very slow and it usually it takes longer than to charge from 10-80%.
Once you’re doing charging, you should move your vehicle to free up the bay for others to charge.
