Malaysia hit with 25% tariffs, up from 24%

Malaysia hit with 25% tariffs, up from 24%


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia has been hit by a 25% tariffs to take effect beginning Aug 1. 

The rate, which was stated in a letter posted on US president Donald ‘s Truth Social, is 1% more than the 24% imposed previously snd paused for 90 days. 

In a letter addressed to the King, described the rate as “far less” than what is needed to eliminate the country’s trade deficit with Malaysia.
