Terengganu rest coach Badrul  after Super League slump


KUALA LUMPUR: Terengganu have rested head coach Badrul Afzan Razali following the team’s poor run in the Super League.

In a statement on Thursday, the club confirmed assistant coach Tengku Hazman Raja Hassan will take over as interim head coach until further notice.

“Terengganu record their highest appreciation to Badrul for his commitment, contributions and services throughout his time with the team,” the statement said.

The decision comes with Terengganu currently sitting fifth in the Super League, a campaign marked by inconsistency and damaging defeats.

Among the heaviest defeats were a 5-0 thrashing by DPMM and a 5-2 defeat to .

Despite struggling in the league, Badrul guided the Turtles to the FA Cup quarter-finals during his tenure.
