KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim welcomed the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) latest assessment of Malaysia’s economic performance.
In a post on his social media platforms, the Anwar said the government’s priority is to make sure economic stability is not only managed responsibly, but also felt by Malaysians.
“I welcome the International Monetary Fund’s assessment of Malaysia’s economic performance.
“In an increasingly challenging and uncertain global environment, the government’s priority remains ensuring that economic stability is not only managed responsibly, but is also felt by the people through secure and fair job opportunities, and sustained confidence in the future,” he wrote.
Anwar also emphasised that the Madani Government will continue to manage public finances prudently while accelerating reforms under the 13th Malaysia Plan.
The aim, he said, is to ensure that economic growth is strong, resilient, and delivers meaningful benefits to all Malaysians.
“The Madani government will continue to manage public finances prudently and accelerate reforms under the Thirteenth Malaysia Plan, so that the growth we build is truly strong, resilient, and delivers meaningful benefits to all Malaysians,” he added.
