Yes 5G Advanced now available on prepaid, 5G Advanced enabled nationwide


Following Yes’ 5G Advanced launch two months ago, the telco has delivered on its promise to rollout 5G Advanced nationwide on Digital Nasional Berhad’s network which currently has 82.4% 5G population coverage in Malaysia.

In addition, Yes is also the first telco in Malaysia to offer 5G Advanced on prepaid. The Prepaid plan offers the lowest entry to 5G Advanced with subscription starting from as low as RM10/month.

As usual, Yes 5G offers 5G data with no speed cap all-day, ensuring users can maximise the potential of the network.

To ensure 5G Advanced is accessible for the masses, they have introduced its new Yes 5G Advanced starter pack for only RM10. It offers 20GB of uncapped 5G data with uncapped speed and shared hotspot usage.

The Yes 5G prepaid plans come with 30-day validity and it offers unlimited calls, and unlimited SMS (on-net) within Yes 5G network.

  • Yes 5G Advanced starter pack (RM10/month) – 20GB 5G Advanced + 4G, shared hotspot
  • Yes 5G Advanced Prepaid 20 (Promo: RM15/month) – 50GB 5G Advanced + 4G, shared hotspot, data rollover feature
  • Yes 5G Advanced Prepaid 30 (RM30/month) – Unlimited uncapped 5G, Unlimited 4G up to 7Mbps, 12GB hotspot

Users can sign up for the plans via the MyYes app and activate it immediately via eSIM. Alternatively, they can pick up the physical Starter Kit at Yes Stores, Yes Authorised Dealers and MyNews.

To enjoy 5G Advanced, you need to ensure that your device is supported. At the moment, Yes 5G Advanced supports devices from Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo, Honor, ZTE, Nothing and Realme, and you can check the compatibility list on their website. Unfortunately, isn’t supported right now.

You will know you’re connected to 5G Advanced when the mobile network name is shown as “Yes 5G advanced” on your device.
