PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry will conduct a comprehensive study to enhance the execution of its national health personnel mobilisation programme.
In a statement today, the ministry said the study will assess the impact of the mobilisation initiative and evaluate its feasibility moving forward.
“The ministry is committed to implementing continuous improvements to provide the best healthcare services to the public, especially at health facilities,” the statement read.
The ministry noted that this aligns with the government’s agenda to democratise services, as highlighted by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.
He said the government is strengthening public service delivery by redeploying medical officers and police personnel to areas of greater need.
On Dec 7, at the National Convention for Public Service Reform, he reportedly stated that 380 medical officers were involved in the mobilisation at both headquarters and health facility levels.
In addition to medical officers, the mobilisation programme also covers nurses and medical assistants.
The ministry added that this initiative directly supports the Frontline Agency Strengthening Initiative, which mobilises civil servants to democratise healthcare delivery under the Public Service Reform Agenda (ARPA) Reform Core 3: Organisational Development.
