KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor‘s winless run extended to three matches after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Philippines’ Dynamic Herb Cebu in an Asean Club Championship (ACC) Group A match at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila on Wednesday.
The match came alive in the second half after the hosts opened account through Rico Andes’ header from Abou Sy’s corner kick in the 47th minute.
But Selangor‘s Willian Lira drew level from close range in the 54th minute.
The drab draw leaves Selangor second in Group A with five points from three matches behind Cong An Hanoi who have six points after edging Buriram United 1-0.
The Red Giants were held to a 1-1 draw by Bangkok United in their AFC Champions League 2 clash on Nov 26 and lost to Bangkok United before being knocked out by Sabah in the FA Cup semi-final last Sunday.
Selangor hope to snap their winless run when they shift their focus to the Super League against Penang away on Sunday.
