PUTRAJAYA: Police have crippled a house break-in syndicate comprising men from an East Asian country.
The group has been linked to at least nine cases here, including an attempted break-in at the home of a retired government official who holds a Tan Sri title.
Putrajaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Aidi Sham Mohamed said officers from the Kuala Lumpur police Criminal Investigation Department and Putrajaya Criminal Investigation Department formed a special task force, code-named Op Pintu Putra, following a spike in house break-in cases in Presint 11 and Presint 14 here.
