HULU SELANGOR: A 48-year-old local man was detained for allegedly molesting three female teenagers at the MRSM Kuala Kubu Bharu dormitory.
Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt Ibrahim Husin said police received the three reports at 4.16pm on Wednesday (Nov 26).
“Initial investigations revealed that the suspect had allegedly touched all three victims, aged 16, while they were asleep in their dormitory beds.
“Following the reports we detained the suspect, who has no prior criminal record,” he said in a statement on Thursday (Nov 27).
The suspect will be remanded, he added.
“The case is being investigated under Section 14 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which carries a maximum penalty of up to 20 years’ imprisonment or whipping upon conviction,” he said.
