PASIR PUTEH: Pasir Puteh has become the latest district to be affected by floods after a relief centre was opened today at SK Dalam Rhu.
Pasir Puteh district police chief Superintendent Zaizul Rizal Zakaria said the centre was currently accommodating 74 evacuees as of 4pm.
There are now four flood-hit districts in Kelantan. The other districts are Bachok, Tumpat and Kota Baru.
As of 2pm, 5,935 victims have been placed at 26 relief centres across the four districts.
Checks showed that several roads in Pengkalan Kubor, Tumpat, were submerged under 0.3m of floodwaters following continuous rain since Friday.
However, the affected roads are still open to all vehicles.
