KUALA LUMPUR: Economy Minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli continues to carry out his official duties today, his aide said today.
“He is at work today,” Farhan Iqbal, Rafizi’s press secretary told the New Straits Times.
Rafizi, the incumbent PKR deputy president, was unseated by Nurul Izzah Anwar in a weekend party vote.
On May 10, Rafizi had vowed to step down from the cabinet if he failed to retain the PKR deputy presidency in the party elections.
Rafizi has urged his supporters, particularly those disappointed by the result, to remain calm and trust the party’s democratic process.
