SHAH ALAM:
MIC‘s annual convention has decided to defer its decision on whether to remain in Barisan Nasional to party president SA Vigneswaran and its central working committee, or CWC.
It is understood that a decision will not be made today.
Earlier, MIC deputy president M Saravanan tabled three resolutions at the party’s 79th convention, including leaving BN and formally applying to join opposition coalition Perikatan Nasional.
While delegates debated on the resolutions, no vote was taken as the convention agreed to leave the decision to Vigneswaran and MIC’s top leadership.
