KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia opened lower as worries over possible US Federal Reserve rate cuts, driven by weaker October jobs data and a Wall Street sell-down, continued to dampen local market sentiment.

The key index is expected to trend within the 1,625 to 1,640 range.

In the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin slipped to RM412,410.

Ethereum fell to RM13,285, while Solana eased to RM598.
