KUALA LUMPUR: The effectiveness of the implementation of the Madani Economic Policy, along with the latest figures on seized proceeds and penalties collected by enforcement agencies, are among the matters to be discussed at the Dewan Rakyat sitting on Tuesday (Nov 11).
According to the Order Paper published on Parliament’s official website, Aminolhuda Hassan (PH-Sri Gading) is scheduled to ask Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to explain how the government assessed the effectiveness of the Madani Economic Policy over 18 to 24 months.
He also wants to know about ongoing and planned efforts to strengthen the policy’s implementation to ensure it fully achieves its objectives.
During the same Prime Minister’s Question Time, Datuk Mohd Isam Mohd Isa (BN-Tampin) will ask the Prime Minister about the latest figures on confiscated proceeds and penalties collected by government enforcement agencies, as well as measures taken to strengthen efforts to curb the country’s revenue leakage.
Also drawing attention is a question from Zahir Hassan (PH-Wangsa Maju) to the Home Minister regarding arrests and prosecutions related to the misuse of identity cards, including cases of identity theft and the sale of such documents during the oral question-and-answer session.
He will also seek an explanation on strategies to ensure data protection for identity card holders from theft and sale, along with the enforcement and prevention mechanisms implemented.
After the question-and-answer session, the Dewan Rakyat sitting continues with the committee-level debate on the Supply Bill 2026.
The ongoing Third Meeting of the Fourth Session of the 15th Parliament will run for 35 days, until Dec 4. – Bernama
