The ringgit extended its strong footing to open higher at 4.1670 versus the greenback.

Year-to-date, the ringgit has risen more than seven per cent and is the best performing currency in the region.

Bursa Malaysia opened higher on Monday, supported by financial services heavyweights.

It is likely to hover within the 1,620 and 1,630 range today. In the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin rose to RM444,780.

Ethereum traded higher at RM15,258 and Solana climbed to RM698. That’s it for Market Pulse.
