KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 10 (Bernama) — The implementation of punitive measures against Israel and allocations for religious schools in 2025 are among key matters to be discussed in the Dewan Rakyat today.

According to the Order Paper on the Parliament’s website, Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee (PN-Beluran) is scheduled to ask the Foreign Minister about concrete steps taken following Malaysia’s call at the recent Arab-Islamic Summit in Qatar for punitive action against Israel.

He will also seek clarification on whether the call includes indirect links between Malaysian entities and Israel through technology supply chains, third-party trade, or cooperation in the security and cyber sectors.

Meanwhile, Datuk Ahmad Saad @ Yahaya (PN-Pokok Sena) will ask the Prime Minister about the total aid and allocations provided to people’s religious schools this year.

Datuk Suhaimi Nasir (-Libaran) will question the Agriculture and Food Security Minister on new economic programmes for Sabah youth, particularly in digital economy, agropreneurship and modern fisheries, to reduce reliance on low-paying jobs.

Separately, Aminolhuda Hassan (PH-Sri Gading) will raise questions on Malaysia’s food security level in the event of import restrictions, as well as strategies to ensure national self-sufficiency.

Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias (-Jelebu) will ask the Youth and Sports Minister about policies to support the growth of e-sports and efforts to develop it as an economic contributor rather than merely youth entertainment.

Also scheduled for first reading today are the National Skills Development (Amendment) Bill 2025 and the Skills Development Fund (Amendment) Bill 2025.

The Dewan Rakyat will later continue with the committee-level debate on the Supply Bill (Budget) 2026 for the relevant ministries.

The third meeting of the fourth session of the 15th Parliament runs for 35 days until Dec 4.
